Rugby World Cup France 2023 – Blog

Paris, the ‘City of Love’, will be transformed into a festival city in September / October 2023 as the best of the world’s rugby nations come together to battle for supremacy.

Unique Cruises is excited to team up with Zepplin Travel to offer you this exclusive Rugby World Cup package in conjunction with Gullivers, a Rugby World Cup Official Travel Agent.

The 2023 RWC is shaping up to be one of the most exciting World Cup’s in recent memory as there is no clear favourite. Will world ranked number 1 Ireland be able to continue their current dominance? Or will France, based on current form and with hometown advantage finally break the RWC bridesmaid shackles, and lift the coveted prize.

Of course, New Zealand, despite their less than convincing form of late, can never be discounted; and with the recent shake-up, the Australians are shaping up to be the dark-horse of the competition. Current Cup Holders, South Africa, will not be going down without a fight so their is a lot of excitement to be had in the battle at the top.

Add to the mix the unpredictability of England and Scotland as well as the likes of Argentina and Japan who have proven they can beat any team on the day and we have one heck of a competition.

Our RWC Package starts when we check into our floating accommodation, the beautiful A-ROSA VIVA. A-ROSA VIVA Features 99 rooms along with ample public areas, an onboard gym, whirlpool, sauna and relaxation area. Add to that a free wifi, an open bar (alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages) and multi-course gourmet full-board meals, and we have the perfect home away from home.

The added benefit of ship accommodation is that we can, and will, cruise the mighty Seine River. Along the way we will vist many beautiful and historical palces including Rouen, Villers le Bretonneux, Vernon and Giverny.

A visit to World Heritage listed, The Palace of Versailles, is included in this fantastic tour package but ample time has been allocted to explore the remarkable city of Paris at your leisure.

Perhaps visit Le Louvre, Le Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile, the Eiffel Tower, the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur or the Catacombs of Paris. The list is endless. Or for a more relaxed view of Paris, perhaps relax at one of the fabulous cafés along the The Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

And then of course, there is the reason we are all there – the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

We are excited to have Rugby Legend, David Campese onboard. David wil provide us with some very unique insights into each of the teams and about world rugby in general.

We have tickets for the two semi-finals, the bronze final and the final. With the field wide-open, who can predict wich teams will actually make it to the finals let alone who will lift the Webb Ellis Cup on the 28th October in a sold-out Stade de France, Saint-Denis, in Paris. The atmosphere will be electric….

Rugby fans from all nationalities are welcome to join us. In fact, the more diverse the supporters, the better the fun. So if you are a die-hard Wallabies supporter, an All-Blacks tragic, a Springbock, Los Pumas, Red Rose, Thistle, Brave Blossom, Ireland (do they have a team name?) or any other supporter, we would love to have you share this experience with us.

If you are travelling with soemone who is NOT into rugby, rest assured that there is so much available that is not rugby related that they will have an amazing time as well. Of course, it would be very hard for anyone not to get swept up in all the excitement and festivities of the occasion.
